Assessment Academy Announces Two Exciting Training Opportunities for Career Professionals

Fresno, CA (PRWEB) August 30, 2007 -- Executive coaches and career development professionals' long wait for an affordable, valid, and reliable personality type assessment is over.

Assessment Academy, a division of Career Coach Academy, announced Friday they are offering certification training in administering, interpreting, and utilizing the Golden Personality Type Profiler (GPTP) at a deeply discounted rate that finally puts four-letter type certification within the easy grasp of coaching and consulting professionals worldwide.

Securing certification to administer a personality type assessment, similar to the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator), used to require a Masters degree, previous coursework in psychometrics, and serious cash flow, but not anymore. Unlike similar training programs that typically run around $1225 and take three to five days away from the office to complete, the GPTP training is open to anyone, requires no pre-work, no lost time away from the office, and no travel or lodging expenses -- saving course participants well in excess of $1,000.

John Golden, Ed.D. will conduct the six-hour training that will be divided into three two-hour classes. The course includes one free GPTP assessment and is scheduled to begin September 12, 2007, taking place via a teleconference bridge line. Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to purchase future assessments to use with their clients for a nominal fee exclusively through Harcourt Assessment at www.harcourtassessment.com.

Nancy Branton, Assessment Academy's co-founder said, "Being able to offer this valuable training is a wish come true for me. I know the insights career professionals will gain from this course will improve their ability to coach others toward enhanced relationships and increased productivity." Susan Whitcomb, also of Assessment Academy, noted "Getting trained myself several years ago in personality type was a huge win for me and something that has helped me tremendously in my interactions with clients, colleagues, family members, and just about everyone."

What is so remarkable about the GPTP? While critics have long contended that type-oriented approaches to personality are too simplistic and often inaccurate, the GPTP overcomes those limitations. Not only does this assessment generate a Jungian four-letter personality type, it also delivers a comprehensive report that delves into subtle facets that make up one's personality type.

The report produced by the GPTP is unique in that it:

* Is geared toward identifying behaviors,

* Examines both work and leisure situations,

* Includes thirty-six Facet Scales within the four Global Scales, allowing individual personalities to emerge, and

* Has an additional Global Scale with two additional Facet Scales that measure response to daily stressors.

Continuing its goal of providing high-quality assessment resources to leadership and career professionals, Assessment Academy is equally pleased to offer four hours of CareerLeader assessment training with James Waldroop, Ph.D. Dr. Waldroop is a former Harvard Business School professor and co-author of The 12 Bad Habits that Hold Good People Back. He is co-creator of the CareerLeader assessment that has helped guide the careers of more than 125,00 students and corporate employees worldwide.

CareerLeader offers profound insight by collectively looking at one's interests, work reward values, and abilities, as well as collecting 360-degree feedback on one's abilities. CareerLeader's philosophy is that collectively, these three things are the "hidden nuggets" often overlooked in setting a career course.

The CareerLeader training will be divided into two two-hour sessions, beginning on October 11, 2007 and wrapping up October 25, 2007, and includes two free test administrations.
